Welcome to California Women Lead, formerly the California Elected Women’s Association for Education and Research (CEWAER).
We are now California Women Lead. A new tagline, incorporated into
our new logo, encompasses the mission of our organization: Engage,
Empower, Elect.
It is important to note we have not changed our goals, but we
re-branded to make our organization more inclusive.
We will continue to give women the tools
and support they need to be effective in the political arena by
offering trainings, policy discussions and networking opportunities
all across the state.
Founded in 1974, California Women Lead is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association for women holding, or interested in holding, elected and appointed public office. California Women Lead is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization.
